Elaine Masia Bride Of Matthew Furmato

     Miss Elaine Lucy Masia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Angelo Masia, 23 Beer St., was married yesterday to Matthew Furmato, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Furmato, 35 Giles Ave., Jersey City, in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, here.
     The Rev. Charles O’Shaughnessy officiated at the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with white summer flowers. Mrs Michael Cox was the soloist and Miss Loretta Durante, organist.
     Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a French lace gown over ice blue satin designed with a high collar re-embroidered with iridescent sequins. The full skirt had a bustle of satis and terminated in a cathedral length train. Her fingertip length veil of illusion fell from a lace crown and she carried a cascade bouquet of white roses and carnations.

Matron of Honor

Mrs. Alfred Erxleben, Keyport was her sister’s matron of honor. Her gown of blue crystalette was floor-length with empire waistline, the off-the-shoulder fitted bodice trimmed with flower designs. Her matching crown had a short veil and she carried a basket of pink roses, white carnations, delphinium, and daisies.
     The bridesmaids’ gowns and flowers were like the honor attendant’s with Mrs. Alfred Poling, Keyport, sister of the bride, wearing green and Miss Inez Lanni, Jersey City, yellow.
Ann Furmato, sister of the bridegroom was the flower girl. She wore a pink frock.
     Peter Furmato was best man and ushering were Anthony Furmato and Joseph Furmato, Jersey City, all brothers of the bridegroom. Angelo Anthony Masia, brother of the bride, was the junior usher.
     For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Masia selected a pink silk dotted swiss afternoon-length dress with matching hat. The bridegroom’s mother chose a blue silk afternoon-length dress worn with matching hat. Both wore corsages of white roses and carnations.

Trip to Florida

     A reception followed at McGuire’s Grove, Middletown, after which the couple left for Florida. For traveling, the bride wore a pink dress with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations and roses.
     The bride graduated from Keyport High School and is employed by the New Jersey Bell Telephone Co., in Keyport.
     The bridegroom was graduated from Dickerson High School, Jersey City, and is employed by Western Electric Co., Newark.
     When they return from their wedding trip they will reside at 284 Pavonia Ave., Jersey City.
